autumn fairies

red, orange, yellow
brown, gold, dark brown....

with how many colors of autumn leaves
does nature inspire me every day




ginkgo and cherry
autumn fairies

like they may hide under 
bigger leaves which cover them well


and flower fairies for spring
under tiny petals


i made them for a waldorf school market
but i enjoyed making them itself

with plant-color felt,
hand-dyed by my friend,
which is really beautiful and
gives me many inspirations 

もうすぐシュタイナー学校での
ちいさなお店の日がやってくる

何かの足しになれば　と
息子が幼稚園の時に作ったきりの
おぼろげな記憶をたよりに　
小さな妖精をつくってみた

フェルトの色をみて花や葉の形を想像する

こっくりした色味は秋にぴったり
淡い色合いは花の妖精

友達が染めてくれた草木の色が素敵で
種々の植物に思いをめぐらす

そんな過程もたのしい

まるでジャムセッションのような体験

色がその時々のムードによって
イメージを変えていく

「暗闇のなかにやどる暖かい光」
だったのものが

詩の朗読をきいて
「月夜の森」に

森のなかには３原色６種の色
全てが入っている

木の葉の陰の小さきものや
もれ入る光のかけらが 
いきづいている

そして

色で体験する「熟す」過程

夏のあいだ さんさんと日のひかりをあびた植物は

黄金色に　そして熱をおびた色へ

突然 吹き抜ける冷たい風

全ての色が混ざり合って 複雑な色合いに

思っていたのとは また別の

秋が深まる

mood of the moment

my image changed

from 'warmth in the dark' to

'autumn moon over the forest'

after hearing a poetry reading

and

'colors to ripe'

hot sunny days invite

sudden cold wind

make things ripe

yellow, gold, and reds meet blues

six pastels all over

found unexpected new colors

and got 

berries riped

in the box

今日は、彼女の誕生日だった
というのは嘘で
それは何ヶ月も前のことなのだった

なにかお祝いをと思いつつ時はすぎ
あるとき素敵に古びた小箱をみつけた
きっと何かに使ってくれるはず
そう思って手にとってからまた数ヶ月
やっと二人で会える日がきた

プレゼントが箱といっても
空箱でわたすのはどうも...
家中で乾かしたラベンダーやミント
とうろこしの皮でかこって中に詰める
いいにおい

他になにか きれいなもの
花や木の実でかざろう
そしていちばんとっとておきのもの
と木の小箱をあける
富士山の御庭でひろった
小さな松のかけら
何年もの風雪にたえて　真っ白に乾いている



















ひとつのかけらを手にとってながめていたら
なんだか小鳥にみえてきた
そのときだった　ひらめきが来たのは（おおげさに言えば）

そう、この小箱は小鳥の巣
とうもろこしの金色のひげが
鳥がはこんできた巣材のよう
小鳥にはピンをつけてブローチにした

おめでとう、というのには遅すぎるけど
いつもありがとう
今日はありがとう
これからもよろしくね












an old carton box
found and was to be a
birthday present for her
some months ago

and now 
i was packing some
dried mint and lavenders
and their aroma
surrounding with circle of corn husk

putting flowers and pine corns
what else....looking inside a box with 
some pine wood pieces, 
....treasure from mt. fuji, a holly place,
always windy
low pines dried so white after years























i picked up one tiny piece
looks like a bird.....  that's when 
the inspiration came
'bird in the nest'

around her neck

it's late to say happy birthday
