autumn fairies

red, orange, yellow
brown, gold, dark brown....

with how many colors of autumn leaves
does nature inspire me every day

ginkgo and cherry
autumn fairies

like they may hide under
bigger leaves which cover them well

and flower fairies for spring
under tiny petals

i made them for a waldorf school market
but i enjoyed making them itself

with plant-color felt,
hand-dyed by my friend,
which is really beautiful and
gives me many inspirations

  1. and i see the sweet gum pod there, right?

when i went through some things i made
two years ago, found a doll as well. there
is something very tender in making one
like putting a soul inside, your autumn
fairies are just like their season

    1. oh, i didn't know it called as sweet gum pod in english!

but, yes, this is one of my most favorite trees' treasures in autumn.
here not so many trees, but i found a street with these trees along.
so high, seemed hard to pick them down. but fortunately
just after typhoon in september, i just went by that street
and found so many these pods brown down on the street!!
i was so excited to gather them...stopping my car.

and tiny dolls, i don't make so often,
usually i make what i need now,
but making them is giving me some
simple happiness to create new tiny friends.

      good day to you, olga.
